AC & Heater Repair

heatpumpA heat pump has two functions: to heat the house in the winter and cool the house in the summer. The heat pump is made of different components. In the winter, an outdoor unit, called a compressor, sucks in the air. The air moves through compressor coils and into the indoor heat exchanger. Inside, the heat is separated from the cold air. The heat is blown through the ducts in your home by a fan while the cold air goes outside through evaporator coils and compressor.

The opposite happens in the summer. The compressor takes in fresh air, which travels through evaporator coils and into the heat exchanger. Cold and warm air are separated. The cold air blows through your ducts while the heat is taken through the condenser coils and compressor to the outdoors
